Establishment of Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation
The Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on the Establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was signed in Dhaka on March 1, 2017.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam MP signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh in the presence of Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, M.P., and Ambassador of Russia to Bangladesh Alexander Ignatov. Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev signed the agreement from the Russian side earlier.
The aim of the Commission is to develop broad-based cooperation in various spheres of relations between Russia and Bangladesh. It will facilitate the diversification of bilateral trade, economic, scientific and technical ties between the business communities of the two countries, assist to remove barriers to mutual trade, bolster the exchange of information between the parties, etc.
