The Society of Speech & Language Therapists (SSLT) is a non-political, voluntary official professional body committed to advancing education, training, and ethical practice in communication, hearing, and swallowing healthcare in Bangladesh. Established in 2017 and recognized by the Bangladesh Government, SSLT is also a key stakeholder and representative body for communication, hearing, and swallowing healthcare professionals under the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council Act of 2018, which regulates health rehabilitation professionals in the country.

With a mandate to operate across Bangladesh, SSLT plays a pivotal role in upholding professional standards, supporting workforce development, and fostering collaboration to improve services for individuals experiencing communication, hearing, and swallowing challenges. SSLT is dedicated to promoting the best practices within its scope, enhancing the well-being of the people we serve, and ensuring continuous professional growth for those in the field.
